Hi, Im Žan!

A 24 year old from Ljubljana, Slovenia.

I first opened Photoshop in primary school when I was around 14—and instantly fell in love with digital design. Like anyone discovering it for the first time, I played around with every effect and layering option Photoshop had to offer until I knew it inside out.

At 16, I traded my Samsung phone with a "Pro" mode camera for a real one—and I haven’t looked back since. I started shooting anything and everything I could get my hands on. Events? Sure! Weddings? Let’s do it! Products? Hell yeah!

Eventually, I had to finish high school, and that’s when I moved to Ljubljana to study video production. But instead of sitting in classrooms, I found myself getting so many job opportunities in the commercial world—especially in photo assisting—that I neither had the time nor the motivation to keep studying something I was already doing.

I later moved to Hamburg, Germany, to work as the 1st assistant and digital operator for the renowned duo He&Me. We spent about a year traveling the world, photographing cars and making memories.

Since then, I’ve been bouncing between international gigs and local work in Slovenia—still photo assisting, still doing digi work, still meeting new people, and still having fun on set.
